Scent and touch garden

Sharpen your senses

Designed to stimulate our senses, the scent and touch garden offers surprising fragrances and textures. Raised by small terraces, the plants are close up and very accessible, allowing us to discover them better.

Does it tickle or scratch?

When it comes to touch, there’s something for every taste. The delicate leaves of the asparagus plant (Asparagus officinalis) are always good for a tickle, the hairy comfrey (Symphetum officinale) makes us keep our distance and stonecrop (Sedum spectabile) has thick leaves that are intriguingly cold.

Not all flowers smell like roses…

If it’s smell you’re after, there’s plenty to choose from. The familiar scent of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)  and roses (Rosa sp.) can be found alongside the unusual odours of the pterocarpus (Bituminaria bituminosa) and the stinking hawksbeard (Crepis foetida). But what exactly does it smell like? Sausages? Beef stock? We’ll let you decide for yourself!
