Open House: Discover Jean-Jacques Rousseau's lost herbarium

Sunday 1 December, 13:30

A unique opportunity to discover, during this open house, one of the herbaria created over 250 years ago by the Geneva philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, which was thought to have been lost!

Come and discover, alongside our experts, an exceptional acquisition that enhances our collections: a herbarium by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, created between 1771 and 1773, previously believed to be lost.

During this open house, the public will have the chance to admire some of the 99 plates of this herbarium, collected over 250 years ago by the Geneva philosopher.

Do not miss this opportunity and join us from 13:30 to 16:30 without registration at at our library.

The public will also be able to visit our mediation space to create their own herbarium page "in the Rousseau style" to share with loved ones, just as the Genevan philosopher did more than 250 years ago!
