Complet Workshop

The extraordinary journey of the tomato

Wednesday 21 May 2025, 14:00

Discover where tomatoes come from, how to grow them and how to look after them.

Where does the tomato come from? We'll retrace the journey of this useful plant before getting our hands dirty, planting our own tomatoes and learning how to look after them.
This workshop is part of the Geneva Botanical Garden’s Ateliers verts series.
On Wednesday afternoons, children are invited to share our passion for the world of plants and botany in a fun and educational way. Themed investigations, sensory discoveries, botanical explorations, and many other activities are included in the programme. These workshops are carried out in the heart of our living collections by our curators, gardeners and scientists, in collaboration with volunteers from Uni3, Geneva's University for Seniors.
