Vers une révision mondiale des Pandanaceae

Description du projet

Le cadre taxonomique et nomenclatural mondial de la famille des Pandanaceae s’est considérablement amélioré depuis le début de nos recherches en 1996. Vingt-huit nouveaux noms (2 genres et 26 espèces) ont été décrits dans le monde entier et 71 autres nouvelles combinaisons ont été publiées. La nomenclature a été clarifiée pour les noms publiés par les botanistes historiques travaillant sur la famille et par les propositions de la CII. En outre, le Projet Pandanaceae a été développé. Cette base de données vise à servir de référentiel pour notre compréhension croissante de la classification et de la taxonomie et pour les futurs efforts systématiques sur cette famille négligée dans toute son aire de répartition. Ce projet vise à poursuivre la recherche taxonomique et nomenclaturale sur la famille Pandanaceae dans toute son aire de répartition.

Objectifs scientifiques

• Compiler le traitement de la flore pour des régions sélectionnées, c’est-à-dire Madagascar, la Nouvelle-Calédonie, la Malaisie péninsulaire, Singapour et la Thaïlande.
• Développer et maintenir la base de données du Projet Pandanaceae

Les objectifs scientifiques s’intègrent dans le cadre de la stratégie scientifique de l’institution qui définit les trois axes de recherche majeurs (A, B, C) des CJBG.
