Temperate greenhouse

Have you ever brushed up against the fronds of a tree fern?  Reach for the sky by taking the stairs of this splendid neoclassical greenhouse. The gallery is at a height of eight metres and offers a magnificent panorama of all the plants.

In the greenhouse, you are at the other end of the world

The temperate greenhouse has a temperate climate.  The flora on display come from Australia, South Africa and sub-tropical regions of Asia, America and the Mediterranean. There is a particular emphasis on cacti and succulents, with spectacular plants from America and Africa spread along the two facing side wings. Various species of palm tree of impressive size stretch up to the cupola.

In winter this greenhouse provides protection against the frost for some of our oldest and most remarkable trees in tubs, like the hundred-year old Podocarpus.
