Tropical greenhouse

This greenhouse has a warm and humid climate and represents tropical forests. The décor is reminiscent of the enchanting atmosphere of the jungle, with vines and palm trees. Different eco-systems are on display, such as the canopy, the undergrowth and the humid zones. Various decorative trees covered in cork, one of the specialities of the greenhouses in the Botanical Garden of Geneva, carry on their branches epiphytes like orchids, Gesneriaceae, ferns and even Rhipsalis.

Rare and spectacular plants

In the pool opposite the entrance you will see the largest water lily in the world, from South America (Victoria cruziana). By taking the steps that lead towards the Bromeliaceae and Gesnericeae greenhouses you will discover a glazed area showcasing rare and spectacular plants and flora from the collections greenhouses.
